What we store

• Submitted music URLs. The streaming URL you paste is stored so the same release can be reused instead of being resolved again.
• Resolved music metadata. Track or release title, artist name, artwork URL and an extracted colour palette.
• Platform destinations. The platform links you added or approved in the editor, plus the high-confidence matches suggested from public music catalogues.
• Smart-link pages. Every generated page is public: anyone holding the short URL can open it. Do not use StreamThis for anything confidential.
• Optional statistics. If, and only if, you enable statistics, we record aggregated page views and platform clicks per smart link: event type, platform and timestamp. No IP address, no device fingerprint, no user identifier.
• Link management token. A random secret is generated for each smart link and stored only as an irreversible hash, so the creator can edit or delete their link without an account.
• Cookie preference. Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.
• Abuse protection. A short-lived, irreversibly hashed counter is used for rate limiting. It cannot be reversed into an IP address and is overwritten each window.

Hosting and processors

StreamThis is hosted and its database operated on Lovable Cloud (Supabase infrastructure) in European Union regions. To suggest matches, the public URL you submit is queried against the public catalogue endpoints of Apple Music/iTunes, Deezer and Spotify oEmbed. No account identifier is transmitted. Artwork is fetched from the streaming platforms' own content delivery networks; some of those requests may be served outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

StreamThis sets no advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. Only a single functional entry in your browser's local storage stores your consent choice. Aggregated page-view and click counts are recorded per smart link only after you opt in, and contain no IP address, identifier or fingerprint.

Lawful basis and retention

Smart links and their metadata are processed to deliver the service you requested. Statistics are processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time on the cookie preferences page. Smart links are kept until deletion is requested or the service is discontinued.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. To request deletion of a smart link, emailcontact@streamthis.link with the full short URL. We remove verified requests without undue delay, and within one month at the latest.
